Today's conversation with Nolan

I went to pick Nolan up from daycare as usual today and the following short conversation ensued:

Nolan (running into his room and pointing at a poster): Mommy, mommy, look!!
Me: Yeah, what is it honey?
Nolan: Mommy look, it's Dr. King!
Me: That's right that is Dr. King!
Nolan: Ms. Dolores (teacher) talked-ed about him and said that he was a good man and he didn't like fighting.
Me: That's right Dr. King was a very very good man and he didn't like when people were fighting.
Nolan: Yeah. And someone hit him in the head!
Me: What?
Nolan: Ms. Dolores said that someone hit him in the head.


Well, yeah. I guess that's one way to explain what happened...didn't really have a response for that one. Interesting how you teach things to three year olds!!
