Look at my new shoes!!!

Well, Nolan has completed one more step into toddlerhood -- his first "real" shoes. We took him to Penneys but the shoes there werent fitting quite right so we went to Stride Rite instead. (After all, all they do is kids shoes!) Turns out the reason the shoes weren't fitting right at Penneys is because he wears a XX Wide. Yes, that is correct, XX. His chubby little rounded top feet translate into doublewide shoes. And he's a 6 1/2!!! We looked at several different pairs but due to his ability to undo velcro, we went with the tie sneakers. They're white

and will match anything! The first few steps were funny -- picture the movement a cat makes when they have something on their paw they are trying to shake off and you have what Nolan did. He was kind of flinging his feet out in front of him as he walked, but after a few steps he was off and semi-running all over

the store. One good thing about the store -- they take a picture for you the first time you buy shoes there! For $45 and a recommended re-measure in 3 months they'd better do something nice for you!!! Apparently shoe shopping is tiring for men even when they are babies as the last picture shows what he did when we got home...
