Some of you may remember when we were concerned because Nolan wasn't talking. We even ended up taking him for a hearing test (note to future parents: this is miserable for babies!!). Then one day his fell and bonked his head and hasn't shut up ever since!
He is talking all of the time now. He talks to me, he talks to Matt, he talks to the cats and to himself. He even talks to his teddy bear. That is even a picture of him talking while eating...
He has his favorites, as all kids do. This week it's "off" and "Ralph" (Which, admittedly, comes out more like "Hwalf" -- We are absolutely in LOVE with Ralph from Ralph's World.) He also loves "bye-bye" and "uh-oh." Both of those, amazingly, seem to involve throwing something, or pushing something away, whether we are paying attention or not. He's up to about 35 words now including such oddities as "buckle" and "babo" which means phone and "idit" which, well, we have no clue what that one means...
It's wonderful to hear him talk. He has his own language that I swear other babies can understand...he reads books to himself and when he is done will say "all-da" to let us know he is finished with it and will soon drop it on the floor to go get another one. Sometimes he just does laps around the coffee table clapping his hands and laughing / talking / babbling / gurgling to himself. It's fantastic :-)
